AE          Jacob

Jacob and his descendants are described in the History of Lehigh County (HLC) as well as Lehigh and Carbon Counties (LCC).  The most extensive information for Jacob and his descendants, however, is contained in private genealogical papers of Russell S. Baver (BAV).  BAV shows Jacob was born 1/12/1751 and died 10/20/1811; his wife Christina was born 9/2/1759 and died 5/10/1823.  The DAR Patriots Index also shows these dates.

Gravestones at the Jerusalem Church (JER), Stony Run, Berks county, PA, show that Jacob was born 02/12/1751 and died 10/26/1811 (sic); his wife, Christina, was born 09/02/1759 and died 05/10/1823.

BAV notes that Christina's maiden name might have been Hagenbuch "since members of that family were sponsors at numerous baptisms".  Indeed, Hagenbuch's were godparents at baptisms of Andreas (AEA), Maria Magdalena (AED), Daniel (AEG), and Michael (AEH).  Although Kris Kistler, a descendent of Jacob, indicates that Christina's maiden name was Baer, there is no evidence of this.

Kistler family papers at the Historical Society of Berks county (HSBC), show that Jacob was confirmed by Rev. Shoemacher in 1767.  Given his birth in 1751, this seems reasonable.

The children of Jacob and Christina are as follows:

Michael                                 AEH

Andreas                AEA

Philip Jacob          AEB

Jacob                                     AEC

Maria Magdalena              AED

Magdalena                          AEE

Catherine             AEF

Daniel                                    AEG

Solomon                                AEI

AEA                       Andreas

JER baptismal records show Andreas, born 9/5/1779, son of Jacob and Christina, godparents Andreas and Margaretha Hagenbuch.  There are no other references to Andreas, and I assume he died in infancy.

AEB       Philip Jacob

JER records show Philip Jacob, born 7/5/1781, son of Jacob and Christina (some records show "Abina" rather than "Christina"), godparents Philip and Barbara Probst (AG).  JER gravestones show that Philip was born 7/5/1781 and died 2/22/1850.  His wife, Maria (nee Fritz) was born 12/‑/1782 and died 5/‑/1856; more specifically, BAV shows that Maria was born 12/7/1782 and died 3/19/1856.  Her full name was apparently Maria Magdalena ‑‑ Lehigh county (PA) orphan court records in 1850 refer to Maria Magdalena as the widow of Philip.

The 1850 Census records for Lehigh county, PA, show Magdalena, age 69, in the household of David M. Kistler (AFIB); Magdalena is probably the widow of Jacob.  Note that Caroline Kistler (AFIJ), sister of David M. Kistler, is also shown in the same household in 1850.  Caroline later married Benjamin Brobst, the son of Lydia (AEBA) and, thus, the grandson of Magdalena.

So far as I have been able to determine, Philip Jacob and Maria Magdalena had only one daughter, Lydia.

AEBA                     Lydia

JER records show Lydia, born 11/24/1802, daughter of Philip and Maria, godparents Jacob and Christina Kistler (AE).  LDS records show her marriage to Jacob Probst on 3/12/1822.  BAV also shows Lydia's marriage to "John" Probst (6/8/1799‑12/9/1836).  BAV further shows Lydia's death on 1/24/1881 and burial at JER.

AEC                        Jacob

BAV shows Jacob's birth on 3/20/1783 and baptism on 4/18/1783 at Grimville, PA.  No other birth or death records are available.

Jacob married Catherine.  HOLL shows her maiden name as Everitt (Everett).  JER records show the baptism of children of Jacob and Catherine; from the godparents named in these baptisms, the family relationship may be assumed.

AECA                    Judith

JER records show Judith, born 4/1/1806, daughter of Jacob and Catherine, godparents Jacob and Christina Kistler (AE).  BAV reports Judith's birth on 4/14/1806, but this is probably taken from cemetery records of the Jacobs Church (JAC), Lynn township, Lehigh county, PA, which show Judith Henrich (nee Kistler), born 4/14/1806, died 5/24/1879.

The records of Rev. Henry S. Fegley (who served various churches in Lehigh county from 1874 to 1906) show that Judith married three times ‑‑ to Jacob Stein, to Samuel Creitz, and to Joseph Henry/Henrich.

AECB                    Louisa

JER records show Louisa, born 5/30/1812, daughter of Jacob and Catherine, godparents Philip and Maria Kistler (AEB).  BAV reports her marriage to Elias Hartman (10/3/1810‑11/3/1893).   Finally, JAC cemetery records show Louisa Hartman, daughter of Jacob and Catherine Kistler, born 5/30/1812, died 12/6/1890.

AECC                    Maria Barbara (Polly)

JER records show Maria Barbara, born 1/31/1818, daughter of Jacob and Catherine, godparents Christian Wannemacher and Christina Kistler (probably wife of AE).  BAV reports her marriage to Joseph Sechler and their subsequent move to Indiana.

AED       Maria Magdalena

JER records show Maria Magdalena, born 12/29/1784, daughter

of Jacob and Christina, godparents John Hagenbuch and Catherine Steiger.  I suspect that Maria Magdalena died in infancy.

Maria Magdalena is not mentioned in the LCC reference which states that Jacob and his wife had eight children ‑‑ but names only seven, not accounting for either Andreas or Maria Magdalena.  Also, while BAV reports that Maria Magdalena married John Jacob Baer (born 5/20/1781), Baver also acknowledges that Kohler, another Kistler family historian, shows that John Jacob Baer's wife was Magdalena (AEE) ‑‑ see below.

AEE       Magdalena

JER records show Magdalena, born 12/17/1787, daughter of Jacob and Christina, godparents Philip and Elizabeth Kistler (AC).  Also refer to Maria Magdalena (AED) above; I suspect that Maria Magdalena (AED) died in infancy and that her sister, Magdalena (AEE), married John Jacob Baer as reported by some Kistler family historians and by the LCC narrative.

AEF       Catherine

Neither birth nor death records have been located.  BAV as well as the LCC narrative report Catherine as a daughter of Jacob and Christina.  Both indicate she married Jacob Bailey and moved to Ohio.  Also, note that in 1820 Jacob and Catherine "Beli" were godparents to a child of Michael (AEH).  Catherine was probably born about 1790.

AEG                       Daniel

JER records show Daniel, born 4/26/1790, son of Jacob and Christina, godparents Henry Hagenbuch and Catherine Probst.  Baver reports that Daniel married Catherine, moved to Catawissa, Columbia county, PA, and died on 10/2/1858.  Other sources also report Daniel's death in 1858.

However, Columbia county Will Book 3, pages 202‑203, show that Daniel's will was dated 9/27/1856 and probated 10/21/1856.  The will mentions Daniel's wife Catherine, children Daniel, Jacob, Catherine, Joseph, and others unnamed.

The 1850 Census records for Columbia county, PA, show Daniel, age 60; Catherine, age 59; Joseph, age 35; Jacob B., age 25; Catherine, age 24; Sarah, age 23; Elizabeth, age 22; and Christiana B., age 19.

AEGA                     Daniel

JER records show Daniel, born 4/17/1815, son of Daniel and Catherine, godparents Jacob and Catherine Kistler (AEC).  I have found no further information on Daniel, but he was named in his father's will in 1856.

AEGB                    Christine

JER records show Christine, born 2/23/1817, daughter of Daniel and Maria, godparents Philip and Marie Kistler (AEB).  I suspect that the JER records are erroneous and the mother's name should be "Catherine".

Daniel and Catherine apparently had another daughter with a similar name; refer to AEGK, Christiana, below.  She was born about 1831.

AEGC                     Samuel

JER records show Samuel, born 12/23/1818, son of Daniel and Catherine, godparents John and Elizabeth Kistler (probably AFE).                 The 1860 Census records for Hamburg, Berks county, PA, show Samuel, age 42; Elizabeth, age 37; Maria, age 19; Emanuel, age 18; James, age 16; and Jeremiah, age 10.  Samuel died about 1864; acccording to administrative files in Berks county, Elizabeth, his widow, was administrator of the estate.

The 1870 Census records for Berks county show his widow, Elizabeth, age 44; Emanuel, age 22; Jeremiah, age 19; and John, age 12.  Note that John does not appear on the Census in 1860.

The 1880 Census records for Hamburg, Berks county, show Elizabeth, age 55, in the household of her son Jeremiah.

In 1900, Elizabeth, age 73 (born 8/1826) was living alone in Allentown, Lehigh county, PA.

AEGCA                 Maria

Maria, age 19, appears in the 1860 Census records for Hamburg, Berks county, PA, as the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth.

AEGCB                  Emanuel

Emanuel, age 18, appears in the 1860 Census records for Hamburg, Berks county, PA, as the son of Samuel and Elizabeth.  In 1870, he appears in the Census records for Hamburg, Berks county, PA, with his widowed mother; his age is shown as 22.

BAV shows that Emanuel died 9/14/1897.  Schuylkill county (PA) probate records in 1897 refer to Emanuel B. Kistler (of Minnersville Borough) and his widow Emma.  The 1900 Census records for Allentown, Lehigh county, PA, show Emma, age 45 (born (7/1854); her son Henry, age 19 (born 4/1881); and her mother Susan Riegel, age 64 (born 12/1835).

AEGCC                James

James, age 16, appears in the 1860 Census for Hamburg, Berks county, PA, as the son of Samuel and Elizabeth.

AEGCD                 Jeremiah

Jeremiah, age 10, appears in the 1860 Census for Hamburg, Berks county, PA, as the son of Samuel and Elizabeth.  In the 1870 Census he appears with his widowed mother; his age is shown as 19.  The 1880 Census for Hamburg, Berks county, shows Jeremiah, age 29; his wife Emeline, age 31, his daughter Elizabeth, age 3, and his mother, Elizabeth, age 55.

AEGCDA              Elizabeth

Elizabeth, age 3, appears in the 1880 Census records for Hamburg, Berks county, PA, with her father; nothing else is known about her.

AEGCE                  John

John, age 12, appears in the 1870 Census records for Hamburg, Berks county, PA, with his widowed mother; nothing else is known.

AEGD                    Jacob

JER records show Jacob, born 8/5/1822, son of Daniel and Catherine, godparents Jacob and Magdalena Baer (AEE).  Several sources (family records at HSBC, Columbia county orphan court records, and LDS files) show that Jacob married Hester Kistler (ACGC).  Family records at HSBC further show that Jacob had one son, Daniel Philip.

Jacob's death on 5/31/1881 is recorded in Columbia county will book volume 5, page 46.

The 1850 Census records for Catawissa, Columbia county, PA, show Jacob in his father's household; his age is given (incorrectly) as 25.  The 1860 Census for Catawissa shows Jacob, age 37; his wife "H.", age 36; and his son "D.P.", age 3.

AEGDA                  Daniel Philip

Kistler family records at HSBC show Daniel Philip as the son of Jacob and Hester Kistler and further notes that he married Lydia Ann Krum.  He is shown as "D.P.", age 3, on the 1860 Census for Catawissa, Columbia county, PA, in his father's household.

Columbia county will book volume 13, page 551, shows that Daniel Philip died 1/26/1924.

The 1900 Census records for Columbia county, PA, show Daniel, age 42 (born 7/1857); Lydia, age 44 (born 12/1855); and eight children born after 1880.

AEGDAA              Charles

The 1900 Census records for Columbia county, PA, show Charles, age 17 (born 12/1882), in his father’s household.

AEGDAB              Hester

The 1900 Census records for Columbia county, PA, show Hester, age 16 (born 12/1883), in her father’s household.

The 1900 Census records for Columbia county, PA, show Lillie, age 14 (born 6/1885), in her father’s household.

AEGDAD              John

The 1900 Census records for Columbia county, PA, show John, age 13 (born 5/1887), in his father’s household.

Sue Chlebek, a descendant of John, shows his name as John Gideon Kistler.  He married Hannah Priscilla Guyer.  They had a daughter, Julia Agnes Kistler, born 12/7/1908.  John and Hannah were divorced sometime before 1918.  Supposedly John remarried and had additional children.

AEGDADA           Julia Agnes

Sue Chlebek, a descendant, shows that Julia Agnes was born 12/7/1908.  She was still living in 2001.

AEGDAE              Alice

The 1900 Census records for Columbia county, PA, show Alice, age 10 (born 6/1889), in her father’s household.

The 1900 Census records for Columbia county, PA, show Robert, age 4 (born 4/1896), in his father’s household.

AEGE                    Catherine

JER records show Catherine, born 9/15/1824, daughter of Daniel and Catherine, godparents Michael and Magdalena Kistler (AEH).

The 1850 Census records for Catawissa, Columbia county, PA, show Catherine, age 24, in her father's household.  Also, Catherine is named in her father's will in 1856.

AEGF                     Joseph

LDS records for St. John's Lutheran Church, Catawissa, Columbia county, PA, show Joseph, born 1/27/1814, son of Daniel and Catharina.  The same source also shows his marriage to Catherine Weaver on 1/20/1859.

Joseph's parents seem to have lived in Columbia county at the time of his birth, but then they returned to the vicinity of Jerusalem Church (Lehigh/Berks area) where their other children were born and baptized.  Later, his parents again moved to Columbia county.

The 1850 Census for Catawissa, Columbia county, PA, shows Joseph, age 35, in his father's

household.  In 1856, Joseph was named in his father's will.  Joseph's death is recorded as 3/17/1885 in Columbia county will book 5, page 418.

AEGG                    David

LDS records for the St. John's Church, Catawissa, Columbia county, PA, show David, baptized 8/29/1830, son of Daniel and Catherine.  Nothing else is known.

AEGH                    Maria Ann

LDS records for the St. John's Church, Catawissa, Columbia county, PA, show Maria Ann, baptized 12/28/1835, daughter of Daniel and Catherine.  Nothing else is known.

AEGI                      Sarah

The 1850 Census records for Columbia county, PA, show Sarah, age 23, in her father's household.  The 1900 Census records for Columbia county, PA, also show Sarah, age 72 (born 5/1828).

AEGJ      Elizabeth

The 1850 Census records for Columbia county, PA, show Elizabeth, age 22, in her father's household.

AEGK                     Christiana

The 1850 Census records for Columbia county, PA, show Christiana, age 19, in her father's household.  LDS records for St. John's Church, Catawissa, Columbia county, PA, show her marriage on 9/15/1853 to David Hunt.

AEH       Michael

Records of the Rosenthal Church, Eckville, Albany township, Berks county, PA, show Michael, born 4/11/1792 (sic), son of Jacob and Christina, godparents Michael and Eva Hagenbuch.

Michael married twice and had a large family.  He is buried at Jerusalem Church (JER) where actual gravestone show Michael, 4/10/1792‑8/30/1872; Catharina nee Schmidt (first wife) no dates given; and Magdaline nee Brobst (second wife) 9/11/1798‑ 2/18/1882.  Other records (on microfilm from the LDS Church) show Catharina nee Schneider, 9/12/1792‑1/10/1813; despite the difference in name (Schmidt vs. Schneider), I believe this is Michael's first wife.  Note also that Fegley (FEG) shows the birth date of Michael's second wife, Magdalena, as 7/11/1798.

The History of Lehigh County (HLC) describes Michael's children as follows: Stephen, Perry, Sallie (married Reuben Wannamaker then Stephen Snyder), Jacob, Joel, Polly (married Elias Sechler), Mary (married Jonas Billig then Charles Faust), Hannah (died young), Daniel, William, Michael, Rudolph, Angelina (married Peter Seip), Catherine (married Daniel Brobst) and Reuben (died young).  Michael's children are referenced in various sources ‑‑ History of Susquehanna County (HSUP), Baver (BAV), Fegley (FEG), Lehigh County Orphan Court records, etc.  The reference in HLC seems to be the most complete.

The 1850 Census records for Lynn township, Lehigh county, PA, show Michael, age 47; Magdalena, age 44; "Anjulina", age 15; and Catherine, age 13.  Despite the discrepancy in ages, this is certainly the entry for Michael, AEH.

Michael, age 68, and Magdalena, age 60, appear in the 1860 Census records for Lehigh county, PA.  The 1870 Census records for Lehigh county, PA, show Michael, age 78, and Magdalena, age 71, and a granddaughter, Elmira (AEHED).  Finally, in the 1880 Census records for Lehigh county, PA, Magdalena, age 81, appears with another granddaughter, Ellen (AEHDJ).

AEHA                    Stephan

JER records show Stephan, born 10/31/1814, son of Michael and "Maria", godparents Solomon Kistler (AEI) and Elizabeth Schmidt.  Stephan was a very successful businessman and owned a number of leather tanneries.

Both the HLC and HSUP describe Stephan, his marriage to Esther Mosser and, later, Eliza Grim.  BAV shows that his first wife, Esther, was born 5/24/1816 and died 4/8/1877.  Schadle, another family historian, shows that his second wife, Eliza Grim, was born 7/11/1830 and died 3/4/1904; she is buried in Allentown, PA.  Stephan died 3/16/1880 and is buried in Stroudsburg, PA.

The 1850 Census records for Mahoning township, Carbon county, PA, show Stephen, age 35; Esther, age 33; Charles, age 12; Rufus, age 10; Wilson, age 6; Alfred, age 2; Mary Loch, age 19; and William Kistler, age 20.  Possibly, Mary Loch is a servant; William (AEHH) is brother to Stephan.

The 1860 Census for Pocono township, Monroe county, PA, shows Stephan, age 44; Esther, age 43; Charles, ages 21; Rufus, age 19; Wilson, age 14; Mary, age 12; Milo, age 6; and Michael, age 2.  Note that Alfred (age 2 in the 1850 Census) does not appear in this 1860 Census; Mary (age 12 in this 1860 Census) does not appear in the earlier 1850 Census records.

AEHAA                  Charles

BAV and HLC are principle sources of information.  Charles was born 1/24/1839 and died 3/22/1880.  He was schooled in Stroudsburg, PA, lived in Tannersville, PA, retired in 1867, and moved to Sciota, PA.  He married Anna E. Woodling (HLC states that she was a Kistler, but this suspect).  Charles and Anna had seven children: Emma Jane, Catherine, Caroline, Oscar, Mary, Andrew Milton, and an unnamed infant (probably Hattie, see below).

The 1850 Census counts Charles twice ‑‑ once as a student, age 12, in Stroudsburg and again in the household of his father in Carbon county, PA.  At age 21, he is shown in the 1860 Census in his father's household in Pocono township, Monroe county, PA.          His widow, Ann E. Kistler, age 60 (born 8/1839), is shown in the 1900 Census in Newton, Middlesex county, MA, together with her daughter, Hattie, age 18 (born 4/1882).

AEHAAA              Emma Jane

BAV shows that Emma Jane was born 4/12/1861 and died 9/29/1861.

AEHAAB               Catherine

                BAV shows simply "died young".

AEHAAC              Caroline

BAV states that Caroline died at age 5.

AEHAAD              Oscar (Edwin)

BAV shows that Oscar "died young".

AEHAAE               Mary

BAV and HLC show Mary, daughter of Charles, married Dr. John Lesh.  Although BAV shows that they lived in New Jersey, HLC identifies Dr. Lesh as a leather merchant in Boston, MA.

The 1900 Census records for Newton, MA, show Mary, age 32 (born 12/1867), as the (second) wife of John H. Lesh, age 54 (born 5/1846).

BAV and HSUP also show another Mary (AEHAI) as the wife of Dr. John Lesh.  This is in error.  Mary (AEHAI) is listed in her father's household in the 1860 Census records for Monroe county, PA, as age 12 (indicating a birth date of 1848).  Refer also to the entry for Mary (AEHAI).

AEHAAF                Andrew Milton

BAV and HLC show Andrew Milton as the son of Charles and Ann.  The most elaborate description of Andrew Milton, however, in contained in "Burke ‑‑ The History of a North Carolina County".  Andrew Milton moved to Burke county, NC about 1895 and was a prominent businessman.  The North Carolina State Archive grave index show that he was born 9/21/1871 and died 7/5/1931.

AEHAAG              Hattie

Born 4/1882, she appears in her mother’ household in the 1900 Census.

AEHAB                  Rufus

BAV and HSUP show Rufus as a son of Stephen.  Rufus, age 10, appears in his father's household in the 1850 Census records for Carbon county, PA.  In the 1860 Census records for Monroe county, PA, Rufus, age 19, also appears in his father's household.

Rufus married Mary J. Edinger.  The 1880 Census records for Great Bend, Susquehanna county, PA, show Rufus, age 39; his wife Mary, age 40; Emma, age 18; Elmer, age 13; Edmond, age 11; and Arthur, age 8.  The 1900 Census records for Ramsey county, Minnesota, show Rufus, age 59 (born 9/1840) and Mary, age 60 (born 3/1840).

AEHABA               Emma Augusta

HSUP identifies Emma Augusta as a daughter of Rufus.  She appears in the 1880 Census records for Susquehanna county, PA, in her father's household.  In the 1900 Census for Ramsey county, Minnesota, she and her husband, John Hopkins, appear in her brother's household; refer to Arthur S. (AEHABD).  In 1900, Emma's age is shown as 38 (born 5/1862), and her husband as age 41 (born 10/1858).

AEHABB               Elmer E.

The 1880 Census records for Susquehanna county, PA, show Elmer, age 13, in his father's household.  Elmer probably died before 1900; in the 1900 Census, his mother's entry indicates that only three of her five children were living ‑‑ and Emma Augusta, Edward, and Arthur can be accounted for.

AEHABC               Edward U.

The 1880 Census records for Susquehanna county, PA, show "Edmond", age 11, in his father's household.  In the 1900 Census records, Edward appears with his brother, Arthur (AEHABD), in Ramsey county, Minnesota; his age is given as 31 (born 6/1868), and his marital status is shown as divorced.

AEHABD                Arthur S.

The 1880 Census records for Susquehanna county, PA, show Arthur, age 8, in his father's household.  The 1900 Census for Ramsey county, Minnesota, shows Arthur, age 28 (born 10/1871), and his family: wife Ellen, age 21 (born 8/1878); father Rufus, age 59 (born 9/1840); mother Mary, age 60 (born 3/1840); sister Emma Hopkins, age 38 (born 5/1862); brother‑in‑law John Hopkins, age 41 (born 10/1858), and brother Edward, age 31 (born 6/1868).

AEHABE                Alice May

HSUP suggests that Alice May was born about 1865; she must have died before 1900 since her mother's entry on the 1900 Census shows that only three of her five children were living ‑‑ and these can be accounted for.

AEHAC                 Elmira

BAV and HSUP show that Elmira was born about 1840 and died young.  She does not appear in the 1850 Census records.

AEHAD                 Angelina

BAV and HSUP show that Angelina was born about 1840 and died young.  She does not appear in the 1850 Census records.  BAV shows her burial at Weissport, PA.

AEHAE                  Wilson

Wilson appears in his father's household in the 1850 Census records for Carbon county, PA, and in the 1860 Census records for Pocono township, Monroe county, PA.  In the 1880 Census for Stroudsburg, Monroe county, PA, Wilson, age 35, is shown with Henrietta, age 32, Minnie, age 12, and Sedwick, age 5.

The 1900 Census records for Clinton county, PA, show Wilson, age 54 (born 10/1845); Henrietta, age 52 (born 3/1848); and Sedwick, age 24 (born 9/1875).  BAV shows Henrietta's maiden name as Stauffer.

AEHAEA               Sedwick

Sedwick appears in his father's household in the 1880 Census records for Monroe county, PA, and the 1900 Census records for Clinton county, PA.  BAV indicates he died 4/‑/1952; his wife, Bertha Kaul, died 9/‑/1952.

AEHAEB               Gertrude/Minnie

Minnie, age 12, appears in the 1880 Census records for Monroe county, PA, in her father's household.  BAV and HSUP do not reference Minnie but refer to "Gertrude" as the daughter of Wilson and Henrietta.  I suspect that Gertrude and Minnie are the same.

AEHAF                  Alfred

Both BAV and HSUP show that Alfred died young.  The 1850 Census records for Carbon county, PA, show Alfred, age 2, in his father's household.  Alfred does not appear in later Census records.

Seibert (who probably was Michael's first wife).

Phyllis Touchstone (pktouch@home.com), a descendant, shows that Michael first wife was Massena M. Seibert who died childless.  Michael then married Etna (not Edna) Mae Barthold and they had five children (only three survived infancy).  These three were Michael William Kistler, Ruth Barthold Kistler, and Wilson Stephen Kistler.

Michael, age 2, appears in the 1860 Census records for Monroe county, PA. in his father's household.  The 1900 Census for Morgantown, Burke county, NC, shows Michael, age 41 (born 6/1858); Etna, age 31 (born 11/1868); and Esther, age ten months (born 8/1899).

AEHAI                   Mary

BAV and HSUP indicate that Mary married Dr. John H. Lesh and lived in New Jersey (Plainfield or Clearfield).  Some if not all of this is in error.  Another Mary (AEHAAE), born 12/1867, married John H. Lesh, and they lived in Massachusetts; refer to her entry.

The 1860 Census records for Monroe County, PA, show our subject, Mary (AEHAI), age 12, in her father's household.  Curiously, Mary is absent from the 1850 Census records.  Mary (AEHAI) may have married and may have moved to New Jersey.  I can find no trace of this, however.
